Fife Council organises European, UK and Scottish Parliamentary elections as well as elections for Fife Council and community councils. In this section:
- Find out how to register to vote - you should make sure you are on the Register of Electors or Voters' Roll in order to be able to vote in the next election
- Find out how to register for school board elections. The council is responsible for organising and running school board elections. Parents who want to stand for election must make sure they're registered on the school's electoral roll of parents, which is held by each school

Civic Affairs
The Provost and the Depute Provost attend many events throughout the year which promote Fife and celebrate the achievements of people in Fife, as individuals and as part of a group.
Committees
Through a system of committees, councillors contribute to decision-making about the Council's budget, policies, priorities, and about how services can best be provided in Fife.
Community Councils
Community councils are elected every three years. The public are given the opportunity to be involved in decisions which affect their local communities within Fife.

Councillors are elected by local people to Fife Council.
Elections & Voting
Voting is the single most important thing that you can do. By voting you're helping to decide who will make decisions on the issues that affect you everyday at work and at home, whether they're on a local level such as your bin collection, schools or leisure centre.
